What we keep.

Right now, during the preview

Your answers and results are kept in your own browser, on your own device, in its local storage. They are not sent to us. There are no accounts and no sign-in. We set no cookies of our own and run no analytics or tracking scripts.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived technical logs of requests (such as IP addresses) to run and protect its network. We do not use those logs to identify anyone.

What Trace notices

Trace, our own test, records how you do its five tasks: what you choose and how long things take. If you have taken other tests on this device, Trace also looks at how you answered them (for example, how quickly, and how often you changed an answer). All of this stays in your browser, like everything else.

Deleting it

Your results page has a button that deletes every result and every unfinished test on this device. Clearing your browser data does the same.

When payments and accounts arrive

Paying will go through Stripe, which handles the card or wallet details; we will never see them. If you choose to add an email so you can open your results on another device, we will store your results with it. This page will be updated, with the date, before any of that is switched on.
